Hey guys!
So with this latest cold spell here in the North East, I took the time to update my 3DR Solo Drone to the latest version of Open Solo. If you don't know what Open Solo is, you can find out about it more here: https://github.com/OpenSolo/documentation/blob/master/README.md
But in a nutshell, if you own a Solo, you most likely know that 3DR is no longer supporting or developing for Solo, so here came the community to bring us the latest updates, such as Open Solo!
The install process is fairly straight forward now, the way I did it was with Solex. What the install does, besides adding new software to your drone, is also overwrites the default factory restore to Open Solo, effectively cutting your tie to 3DR servers and reliance on them if you need to restore your drone.
Here's some of the images I've captured with my drone, as well as a picture of my drone, because well, isn't she beautiful?
Do you fly drones? What's your favorite drone to fly?

Cool! I wish to have a drone one day, would capture a great up sky picture with it. in my wish! nice looking photos by the way!
Thank you! Yeah, drones are quite amazing! And amazingly, they're getting cheaper and cheaper every year! GoPro is ending their drone soon, so they may have a very big discount on them if you keep an eye out!
These photos look amazing! I fly Dji Phantom 3 standard myself. It's not the most expensive or the best drone but it surely gets the job done. Where do you live because it looks beautiful there?
Nice! And thank you! I first flew on the Phantom 2 on a job I did a few years back, I mostly purchased the Solo because they had such a great deal on them and I wasn't looking to spend too much for a decent kit. I live in Boston, but these photos are from all over. Colombia, Mexico, New Hampshire, Florida.
