Yes you can definitely go to Peru even if you don't speak Spanish! I didn't speak any when I went by myself. I didn't even have a place to stay when I landed, but if I can figure it out, then you can too! Obviously it will be much easier if you can pick up a few phrases before you go and are willing to learn when you get there, but one of my favorite things about traveling is how someone who can help magically appears if and when you need them most.

I definitely don't consider myself a normal tourist either. I was terrified to go to Peru alone, and that's just one more reason why it felt so important for me to go - I knew I had to face that fear and see if I could really answer the call of adventure. It's worth it!! It's so, so, so so so so worth it.
