I took these photos one summer's evening in Queenstown, New Zealand where I live as I was walking home. In the summer you can get some amazing sunsets across the lake.
On the particular evening it was mostly cloudy except for a small gap in the clouds where the sunlight shone through just before it set. The mountain is Walter Peak which is in prominent view from the lake front of Queenstown.
Looking in the opposite direction the sun cast brilliant light onto Deer Park Heights and illuminated the hill. The Remarkables mountains are in the background.
