For 4 years I lived on this road, on one side is a row of old warehouses that people have converted, some in a fancy way, some in a shabby chic kinda way, usually under a dodgy subletting scheme.
It was pretty unintentional at first - I moved in thinking I’d stay a month or so until I had a motorbike accident which meant I couldn’t go anywhere! I wrote a bit about it here. So I stayed. And it was the best thing I could have done. I miss the place, it was bustling with madness, creativity, community…as such amongst many great point there was always a healthy presence of artists to tag up the walls, and the standard was always crazy high.

wow, no way! a steemer i might know in real life! i have a unit (not a dodgy sublet, one of the very few legit ones - we have windows, fire safety stuff, etc...) in manor house and i'm in tottenham hale at the moment. i know this wall very well - i've lived in a few units there (#7, imperial works, markfield road) and a bunch of my mates still live there. theres a couple parties on the weekend... we should TOTALLY meet up!
also, re: your image, you could do a panoramic kind of thing to get more artwork in cos its the whole wall from imperial works up to the corner where the highcross entrance is innit. or even go to the park? i saw a couple new pieces when i was walking through about 2 weeks ago. seeing as you have had the idea i wont photo any graf work in the area but the place is a goldmine for street art. have you seen the new stuff near bruce grove station yet? it's by the ink/spray can stuff shop.
upvoting and following and everything - come say "hi!" and do the same!
another living human being who lives up the road is on steem. i didnt think it would actually happen...
HA
@humanauction
Haha nice @humanauction, I used to live in number 7...Unit 1!
I disappeared last year for Greece but I still think about it all the time. Great times.
And please don't stop taking pics, it's not MY road, or artwork. This is the only picture I have found so far that I would post anyway...so it's on you to do the panoramic :P
And actually if you post more stuff then I can see how it's progressing anyway, bet the skatepark in Markfield looks great as always too.
Are you on Steem.Chat? I'm living in Barcelona at the moment but next time I'm over we should meet up, I'm sure we either know each other or have mutual friends. Who else did you find on here?!
beautiful photo, but i wonder if the B&W is native or in LR ? thx for sharing.
And good spot it's post produced, although I think this particular picture is more striking in B&W.Thanks for the comment @spliffatboy. Perhaps what you mean is beautiful artwork :)
As I'm shooting on a digital camera with selectable profiles and a live view it's not like shooting in B&W straight would make a huge difference, although I'm open to being corrected or told off for saying that! Sometimes pictures work better in B&W but you only realise in hindsight, so I it's nice to start with the option of colour so it can be swapped. I'd love to one shoot B&W on an old film camera though for sure, need to get my act together to do so!
nice photography ,its really good to see.thank you for share.
Pretty cool and eye-catching! I like it! :)
