Jungle Daily - Home grown ginger, turmeric and coffee! Organic beverages are always the best!

I love the way these ginger flowers hold the rainwater. The perfect spot for birds to come take a drink. Ginger and turmeric tea has become one of my favourite drinks and it is so good for health just to make me love it even more.

The coffee beans are ready to be harvested. This is my first coffee harvest so have to study the process from harvest to cup. Home grown coffee must be the most satisfying cup of coffee to drink I think.

The moon will be full in a few days time. I managed to catch a glimpse of it last night and grabbed some nice shots.

I take tumeric, its known to fight cancer. I was diagnosed with cancer 1 year ago, I'm cancer free now and planning on keeping it that way!

That is awesome news , so happy for you. Turmeric is an amazing healing plant. ❤️💛💚

Make sure it has 1000mg of curcumin for potency. Thank you!

We grow turmeric and use the fresh organic root here in Costa Rica. It is part of our daily diet in food and drinks. That is a useful tip for others though who don’t have access to fresh root. I added a photo of the flowers below the ginger here.

Tumeric has been a medicinal root for several thousand years in india. Have been researching it more here in California...
Will look more into growing in this region thankyou.

Yes do try and grow some. It’s a beautiful plant as well as healing. Good luck.

The first pictures are ginger? That is so cool how it can store water, how thoughtful of it!!

Yes it is ginger, thanks for your comment.

I have never seen how ginger grows! 😊 It looks stunning! And own coffee beans!!! You are the top gardener!!! Let me know how you like it after it's ready! 😊

Thanks very much @delishtreats. Ginger really is a very beautiful plant, I have seen it’s flowers popping up along the roadside here even without any visible leaves which is just crazy but very beautiful. Coffee is a native plant to the area and like all natives here you just show them the ground and they do the rest with a lot of vigor. I kid you not, I have seen so many plants that people just buy and sit on the ground in their pots, they don’t even bother to dig a hole and put them in and the plants just go absolutely mad. Roots pour out into the soil and they plant themselves absolutely securely and the pot just bursts apart into pieces. I shall try and get some photos of this and make a post because it’s really quite amusing to me as a gardener. 🤣

I never knew turmeric and ginger flowers we so beautiful. Thanks for sharing cracking shots 💯🐒

They are beautiful I agree, thanks for dropping by @vibeof100monkeys

Amazing photography and the picture of Moon is just assume.

Thank you 🌈🌴🦋🌞

What a beautiful collection of photos. Those ginger and turmeric flowers are so impressive!! I am going to try growing ginger soon just for the flowers alone :)

How great you are able to grow your own coffee. I hope you will show us the process, I would be very interested to see!

I have to admit the coffee was already growing here when I moved in, I didn’t plant it but all the native plants grow very easily and coffee is one of them 😉 That would be great if you plant some ginger, you may need a small tropical greenhouse but they are easy to achieve.

Es una fotografía de una flor tan bella, la puesta de sol es espectacular y la luna hermosa, hermosas fotografías amiga

Muchas gracias

This photo is actually the ginger flower. The turmeric flower is the pink one in the third photo of he blog.

Thanks for telling me that. You're a good photographer. Keep it up.

Do you do anything with the fruit of the coffee? We don't have anything grown like that here. Only local caffeine comes from the yaupon tree. Nice photos.

I've never seen a ginger flower before, it is so cool, and your comment about the birds drinking place just made me smile, it brings me joy to see people who love and enjoy nature
