Flowering Cactus
My mother has this very beautiful Cactus in a pot and it is full of beautiful flowers. I am not sure but it looks that this is a False Christmas Cactus or Schlumbergea Truncata. The photo above shows the beautiful color of the flowers. Below you can see the plant in its pot.
The photo below shows the leaves, with their tiny, but sharp thorns. You can clearly see the segments the leaves are made off.
Below is a close-up of the flower, look at the beautiful color.
Below you can see the reproductive parts of the flower, they form pear shaped seeds after flowering.

Looks like the one I have at home.
They are real nice, does yours flower in December?
My mother would know exactly, but always in winter (European).
We have it at home from everlasting and call it simply Christmas cactus.
