Hello everyone, here’s a short story of a second chance.
I was walking home along the canal a few days ago and saw a grey heron just sitting on a floating piece of wood, so I thought I’ll take a cool picture with my iPhone!
OMG, of course, to my horror, it was beyond terrible!

I went home and later thought, ‘why didn’t I take my camera and go back?
So the day after I was walking along the canal again and saw the heron again! This time I had my Nikon D750 + 85 1.8g but this was not long enough. I immediately thought, here’s my second chance!! I got the energy to walk home very quickly and grabbed my other camera with a 70-200 attached!
I went back to the canal and he was still there but a bit behind the tall grass. I waited and wait then finally, he came out and I fired away!

Finally he took off and I got a decent shot of him. It’s not the best but at least it shows that when you have a second chance, take it!

Thank you for reading :)
Fantastic! Worth the second chance!
Thank you tinajordan! Yes not everyday you get to capture a heron in flight!
This is a great example of why an iPhone is never enough. I think you could have worked with the title a bit more. Like How iPhone compares to a DSLR :)
Yes that's true, maybe I'll write a post about that on it's own! :)
