My Treasure Chest

I love my tools! All of them, but of course my most favorite are my brushes. I hardly ever throw away an old one, as they all have a purpose at different times of their life span.

I clicked for a closer look at this eye catching b&w image, and then realized it was your post. Of course even your brushes and containers are artfully arranged! Love it. 😊

oups... hope it wasn't too misleading ;-) Yes, with my brushes I'm sort of fussy, but I spend a lot of time with them and with the proper care and tenderness they stay good for a long time :-)

What a great collection! YOu keep them in graet condition. What brushes do you prefer for rounds size 6 or 4

Thanks... yes, I always take good care of them. My preference really depends on the technique and paint/media used... as you can see, there are quite a few options.

Kind of an image I love most! ;)

I think its something every artist likes and I'm sure you have your own treasure chest too, right?

Yes, indeed! :))

That's a well-curated collection if ever I saw one!

We all have our little addictions ;-)

I just love this picture.... it seems when you are an artist it is never enough. There are so many nice colours and tools out there :-)

Life is hard... particularly at boesner's ;-)

Reinhard, you don't have enough brushes! ;-)

Right!! I should go out and get some! :-D

As many as you can load up in your bike saddle bags!

That is a lot :) it's even hard to imagine that each of them have a separate usage :)

Haha.. well, one could probably get away with less... but why should one ;-)

I never throw mine away either - the oldest brush in my arsenal is a (former) fan brush that is so badly chewed up you can't recognize it as such, but I still use it for random patterns such as grass or fur. The brushes that are especially made for that are too "precise" (is that the right word?) and the rendering looks artificial.

Wow! And in the little room across the hall we have another beautiful glass filled with toothbrushes... (just teasing!)
