I don't like setting up Christmas trees, but the children do, so each year my husband and I set up a tree for them. In Europe the Christmas tree is a very old religious symbol, pre-christian.... and the Christian faith incorporated the old religious symbols into their new religion. It helped the pre-Christians assimilated into the new religion.
