It took me a few days to find a new adventure for you guys, but here we are. I will guide you inside an abandoned factory used to produce chemical fertilizers.
In order to get there, you need to take the subway till Nicolae Teclu station and then walk for about 15 minutes. In the area, there were about 30 other buildings.
Now you may ask yourself, what makes this place worth visiting, right? Well, the owners are selling the land and according to specialists, it is the biggest real estate on sale right now in Romania. It is estimated at about 55 million euros.
In 1986, Bucharest got very rich with this factory. Back then, the building was called Army’s Powder Factory. In 1999, it was privatized and continued to function inside a smaller area. A lot of production halls and deposits were closed and until the crisis came, some French business men tried to open a mall here but failed.
If you like to take souvenirs and small gifts from your urban exploration, this place is a good choice.
The cables are quite common in such places.
On the artistic side, the factory was doing well. There were some impressive drawings and signatures out there.
“Fall” was written on that wall. Right after I saw it, there were some noises caused by things falling, quite the timing 😊
This one means “Broken”.
Here are the drawings that I was talking about. Very impressive, I admit!
That one reminded me of a whale playing drums in a Cartoon Network show.
That part of the building was not friendly at all. There were a few dogs around, but everything went smooth.
I found powdered sugar with vanilla flavor, raisins, starch and thyme.
I would say this is quite an original place to watch the sunset. Despite the big price, I hope this factory finds an owner that will invest and make the building shine again like in the old days. Thanks for reading!
P.S. Guys, I will take 4 days off, so I will return with a adventure probably on next Friday (14th July).
I was in Bucharest only once for aikido seminar. It is interesting city that has old and new, picture perfect and ruin all at the same place.
Yes, it's a combination between old and modern arhitecture. Cheers!
Nice shots...upvoted and followed
Thanks!
You're welcome
This is so crazy!

wow. more beautiful, quality content. looks like it was a lot of fun. can't believe that property is €55m O.o
Thank you, I know it sounds crazy. The thing is that the land is quite huge, so that's why and it is also close to the subway station.
Where do you find them? How do you choose your stories? Thanks for showing another face of Bucharest
Hey, thanks @alinamarin. I usually talk with other urban explorers on a forum, they tell me about their favourite places and I check them up on google earth. If I consider they are worth visiting, I would go and take a look.
Nice post

Urban adventure! Very interesting place. Unfortunately, a new money-making plant owned by Romania, which was destroyed. I like your report with pictures taken by you on the spot, and it seems to me a very good idea. Maybe you will also like my articles. Hello!
Hi there, I checked your blog and it seems you have interesting stories. Followed! Keep up the good work :)
