Yes if you eat only salads and fruits you will lose weight. There was a time in my late 20's early 30's when I stopped eating meat. I lived in the city and the meat I bought at market was horrible compared to what I was raised on (I was raised on a farm). I was very skinny. Then I met my wife and and started eating meat again (we eventually raised some of our own). I gradually grew in the wrong way...I decided something had to change so over a couple of years I gradually changed my diet to where I can maintain a good weight.
