Pomerania Trip #3 - Second Day Even Better?!

After a nice surprise on the first day I decided to go back to the same location next day also.

The place is called Jar Reknicy and it is a Nature Reserve located in Pomerania region, near Kolbudy city, not so far from better known Gdansk.

During the exploration day before I went down the river so for this time I decided to go up the river which was quite obvious choice ;).

Quick about the weather conditions that day - much more sun then in a first day, the air was cold, about 3-4 degree in the shadow, visibility very good.

Because of the sun I was afraid that it can really make woodland photography hard to manage but in place I discovered that the warm sun light really gave this contrast and fantastic mood to the shots - which You can see in the shots I will post below...

During the exploration I was looking for interesting spots and motives - I can call it Points of Interest - POE - like in a computer game, where we can find interesting elements in the landscape and compositions to work with.

I focused in clear compositions, where trees weren't placed in a chaotic way, where I could find some small waterfalls on the river, mossy tree trunks, big boulders or other such elements.

Like in the first day I really took my time over every composition and spot to get the most out of it. I hope You will like the final effects of my work.

What was interesting in this part of the river was the variety of small ecosystems - open beech forests, more dense, jungle-like woods, some parts of the gorge looked really like in the mountainous area with steep hills over me and meandring stream at the bottom.

In my next post I will show You the rest of the images and I will write You more about the plans for the third day of this autumnal photo trip.

The place is amazing and has a great photographic potential - I wonder how the nature is changing there during different seasons.

I am sure I will go back there in future!
