Hi there Friends!!
Today I would like to share with You some of the latest works, maybe not the newest - they were done in 2018 during my visit in Poland, but as I wrote before, I am not shooting macro very often so these, as I remember, was the last which I made in Poland.
Couple of times I was trying macro hunting here where I live now - in Norway...with very poor results. Why? Simply - there is almost no insects... yes, there are ants, mosquitos and flies, maybe few common species of butterflies, some spiders, If we are lucky, we can find some small beetles. Thats it. Comparing to this - Poland is a real tropical jungle ;)...
That is why I am planning to spend some more time shooting macro during my long stay there this year. I think in May I will be able to find quite a lot of bugs already. I will try my strenght with some new "vintage" lenses I bought recently, I hope they will give some nice, artstic results...
Presented pictures were made using standard lens 24-105mm with macro rings attached. I hope the results are good enough to present here in public.
As I already wrote before, this kind of macro gear is enough to make a nice magnification of the object but it won't give us the best possible results. These amazing macro shots, where we can see a head of a fly in whole frame, with "microscopic" details on every hair... they are made in studio and by using really profesional gear like macro lenses and external light sources.
This kind of "macro-studio" photography is not really attractive for me, I prefer to be outdoor, feel the air, hunt for living insects, even if the results are not so Amazing... I don't care - Macro Photography is a great fun for me, it is something totally different than landscape photography and I think it is good to change the subject from time to time...
Thanks again for watching and reading, and we see again in my next part of Macro Worlds!

Thanks for watching and have a great day!
I love moths and dragonflies (well all bugs, I even had a roly poly as a pet) But butterflies and moths with muted colours are my favourite. Beautiful photos... (not surprised :)) they always are)
Thank You! One of my next posts about macro photography will be showing the collection of my best moths and butterflies shots, I will let You know when so You can enjoy it and gather some positive energy!
Northern Lights and Moths... your account makes me happy :) well all of it, but I'm guaranteed so many treats :)
It could be hard to shoot the moth during Aurora show...but I will try next time, especially for You! :)
Sounds like a challenge, and I cannot be more delighted!

Nice pictures! I was doing a lot of macrophotography few years ago but right now I'm not shooting much macro... it's time to finally change that! :) I read somewhere that the best time for macrophotography is the early morning, because it's cold and the insects aren't so active as they used to be during the day. Recently I quite often go out very early to shoot the sunrises (because currently I mainly focus on landscape photography), so I have to try shooting some insects as well! Unfortunately I don't have gear that's great for macro, but I think my 70-200mm f/4 will do the job ;)
Thank You! Macro photography is a great fun! Every time gives some nice results, sometimes unexpected meetings ;)...
About the time of shooting? Maybe You read this in my previous post about Macro hunting? : https://steemit.com/photofeed/@photovisions/my-photovisions-24-my-macro-worlds-vol-2-some-tips-and-gallery
If not there, feel free to check it, maybe some more tips and some more photos will inspire You to shot macro again! Have a good day!
No, I didn't read that in your post - it was a long time ago, when I didn't even know Steemit exists, but now I'll definitely read it - seems it has a lot of useful informations! Thanks for giving a link! I also took a look at your profile and found a lot of nice photos. Followed, keep posting the great stuff :)
Thanks for that, I am still warming up with Steemit, I am happy You found something interesting for Yourself on my profile :).
