I was really pleased by your great response to my latest photo contest that I posted on Saturday. The theme of the photo contest was b&w photography and although it certainly was not the easiest one, I received 10 amazing entries that you can check in the original post here.
Originally, I was going to pick only 3 winners but your submissions were so nice that I eventually decided to go for 5 winners :)

This picture was taken in Prague Zoo. Let me introduce you gorrila Richard! Richard has been described as photogenic, and he has become famous for his modeling skills. Some even say that his expressions seem almost human when he poses for the camera. Here you can see his excellent model skills.. He really looks like a thinking human.

The Ballet Dancer. I was wandering around a pier near a frozen lake when I spotted this cute dancer on top of a buoy. The color photo looked like long exposure due to the frozen surface, so I decided to keep it as p&w to make it pretties.

Jiufen, Taiwan. I took this picture at the time I lived in Taiwan in 2015. The location is in Jiufen (About 1 hour away from Taipei) - A small mountain village with lots of temples and a very special mystic flair. Make sure to check it out when ever you are in Taiwan.

mr traveler and fearless adventurer? HAhahaha funny one! I'm in Ljubljana preparing to go to Italy. The plans to go over the Alps had to be canceled - way to harsh at the moment.
Oh wow, the last one from @worldcapture looks kinda scary. I'd expect some ghost ninja samuai guy to come from that temple...there was one in Tekken, do u know the name? :D

Já děkuju za účast :) Obecně zoo moc nemusím (hlavně ty, kde se o zvířata nestarají hezky, což naštěstí není případ té pražské), ale ta fotka je naprosto skvělá. Velmi vydařený záběr ;)
Děkuju.. mám takových víc a vůbec jsem se nemohla rozhodnout, kterou ti sem dát, protože řekněme všechny jsou skvělé .. Richard je skvělý. Ja vim, že zoo moc nemáš rád, ale přiznám se, že v rámci jakési relaxace jsem si minulý rok koupila roční permanentku a částo chodila pozorovat- především gorily. Někdy me ošetřovatel nechal být tam chvíli po zavíraci době sama .. v tu chvíli vznikly tyto snímky. Poté jsem je hodila do celkem hodně zname soutěže pod tema “Zvířata v péči lidí”. No a snad se mi je podaří sledovat i ve volné přírodě.. jednou. :)
U těch zoo je to podle mě kus od kusu... někde zvířata vyloženě trpí a je to jen čistý byznys (viděl jsem třeba úplně otřesné záběry od kamaráda ze zoo v Senegalu), jinde se o ně starají fakt hezky, zapojují se do reintrodukčních programů, posílají peníze na záchranu zvířat přímo v zemích původu apod. Myslím, že zrovna ta pražská si v tomhle ohledu vede celkem dobře, co jsem tam slyšel.
To muselo být super - být v zoo sama po zavíračce :) Nespala jsi tam i náhodou? :D
Prokoukl jsi to, spletli si mě a nechali si mě tam i přes noc :D
