The beaches of Cornwall are rife with history of illegal smuggling and piracy! All along the coast the caves in the cliffs tell tales of pillage and plunder. Exploring these places takes you right back in time to days long past, where people risked there lives for a taste of fine brandy. Some of these caves went back 50m into the rockface and sometimes had manmade tunnels leading off to nearby manors where the goods could be distributed locally. ๐ท
