When we browsing our photo albums we usually try to find the most attractive photos and overlook the average ones. But sometimes even in those second-class shots is a lot of beauty.
I picked some for today's post and I want you to take some time and enjoy them.
They just sit there patiently and waiting for their moment to come.
It takes more time to sink in but this kind of photos calm you down and bring more peace of mind and relaxation. At least for me.
Look at this poor guy. How could he compete with the moos or the bear? He has no chance.

Totally agree. It happens to me always. Sometimes after months, I discover some shots and I wonder why I overlooked them. Also, something stranger, sometimes you ditch a photo as being ugly. And then, out of nothing better to do, you post it for public opinion and you get only positive feedback! :)
So, yep, it is worth to do a fly-by from time to time to your archives.

I think that sunset picture is my favorite. Nobody around. Complete peace. The sun reflecting off the still water. It's beautiful!

I was not sure what that white substance was in your last photo. Is that mushroom common to the Edmonton area?
A saw it at the Elk island national park near Edmonton which we visited only once. I'm not sure if they are common species around here.

You are so right. We have folders and folders of downloaded pictures on our computer and even more on SD cards. Just over the christmas holidays my phone died and I had to go into the computer to look for a picture that I kept on my phone and I saw lots of forgotten photos. I might have to follow your lead and post some of those. In this collection I especially like the shots taken from across the water. The bridge and the mountainscape are fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

I am really bad for doing this, once I have taken some photographs they go on the computer and I 4 star the ones I want to keep and the rest just go in the bin, I need to do what you do and go back through to find some hidden gems, great post!
You are very correct, most times we dive into modernities putting aside old school times. But truth is that, in old photos lies sweet memories, passion, happiness and smiles. Sometimes when i dig out some of my old photos, it makes me want to laugh all day. The joy is always exceptional owing to the old time sweet memories it returns. Thanks for calling our minds back on good old times and photos.
Your average has not been calibrated correctly... ha ha! Some really amazing photographs... the mountains, the railroad bridge, the lake, the sunset and the mushrooms that look like a coral reef!

I spend a lot of time going through my back catalogue of RAW files to find little gems in the masses of photos. Some of my best and most popular photos are ones I've rescued from the depths of a hard drive
