Al Seef Dubai Creek

in #photography7 years ago

Today I'll show you a different side of Dubai. It's fascinating how you walk through modern, almost futuristic street and suddenly you step centuries back in time. In just a few meters.

We turn around the corner and there we were. Old dark streets and small cafes and tiny restaurants and boutiques. Authentic furniture, roofs, and street lights. With music and a strong smell of incenses.

They paid attention to every detail and they tricked me. My friend told me the whole place was built last year. From scratch.
I know that photos are kind of dark but I didn't want to ruin the magic with the flash of my camera.

I hope you enjoyed my collection.

Stay tuned for more. I'll find something for you tomorrow.

Amazing. You really traveled back in time with these photos.

I @danur upvote your post @oldtimer. I as a small fish always follow the big fish posts to build my cooperation with them. and I hope that those who are already big want to visit my blog anytime. hopefully I am part of their project. thanks

very lovely evening atmosphere, thanks for sharing

dubai is a very beautiful city visible at night, with its colored lights.
which is very interesting I see here there is still a roof with leaves, it looks really great for me.

Perhaps, we can only understand the difference, when we see it in comparison. Perhaps, to admire the New, we need to remember the old, as mystic, passing memory to carry. Perhaps, thats the whole point of being. =) Great post!

Nice pictures.

Dubai is definitely on my bucket list. Thanx for keeping my dream alive!

Wow they look very authentic.. I think they are better without flash. You did well by taking them like this. I like the new and old building or places mixed each other..

these are some of the most natural photos I have ever seen, the atmosphere of the night looks quiet and very good at contemplating it @oldtimer

Well buddy you must have enjoyed getting in the to the middle age in no time !

Liked the sitting area in the 1st image and no wonder the liked the carriage with the cycle in the front !

This looks like a traditional place. I think thats always the case in every country. Behind the nice buildings and the luxury life, you see the hidden life of the middle class and poor people. But lovely photos and nice discovery. As they say "Old is Gold" :)
Enjoy your weekend :)

dubai is indeed one of the cities has a very interesting ancient history

excellent photography

Wow, it's great to hear that this place is made of trash and that's the greatness and power of human beings and in my opinion if everyone will strive with this kind of Idea then in my opinion in this world everyone will get an sweet and small home and this place have great essence and in my opinion this place is reflecting more peaceful than the city life. Thanks for sharing and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂

beautiful, incredible place where the cafes are.

Beautiful my friend

That's freakin rad, I can't wait to visit Dubai one day :)

nice.. post sir .tnx for... share
re. steem..??

Friend @oldtimer, the contrast is appreciable, but the most important thing is that you are enjoying your stay there. It does not seem built so recently, they did a good historical job. Nice pictures. I appreciate that you show us different perspectives of the country on a daily basis. All the best for you and yours. Best regards.

Hi@oldtimer, It's good post on photograohy! I enjoy your content and i appreciate for photo. Keep up the good work.

I too want to enjoy that feeling!!!!!
-cheers-

That place is really cool. While I was in Dubai a few times 12 years ago, and actually rode on one of those little dingies on Dubai Creek at night, we didn't see this place. Either we missed it or it wasn't there yet. But boy was that boat ride up the creek nice! Sadly I didn't have my camera with me that time! We always had a great time in Dubai and I would love to return some day.
Great post, love the pics!

Thats enjoyable really.
Cycle looking amazing and photography awesome

great photography dear friend

Like disneyland. Making you dream about what could have been. I wondered after the first couple...everything was just a little too perfect.

Ha ha ha... it looks ancient and last year it was built from scratch!

I would never have guessed this was in Dubai

The areas you show here have a laid back charm to them
