Media Harbour in Düsseldorf

Today we were in the Meerbar, at the Media Harbour here in Düsseldorf a bit chillaxen.

This white building is one of three, they are a bit slanted and not exactly normal in shape. They were designed and built in 1999 by the American architect Frank Gehry. They were considered the new landmark of the Düsseldorf Media Harbor. At that time, the harbor was in a state of flux and through the change it became a kind of landmark.

Today, there are several cafes, bars, restaurants, hotels, architects' offices, media offices, designer associations and much more...
...and not to forget the whole night clubs!

Heute waren wir in der Meerbar, am Medienhafen hier in Düsseldorf am chillaxen.

Dieses weisse Gebäude ist eines von dreien, welche etwas schräg und nicht gerade normal in ihrer Form sind. SIe wurden 1999 von dem amerikanischen Architekten Frank Gehry entworfen und gebaut. Sie galten als das neue Wahrzeichen des Düsseldorfer Medienhafens. Damals war der Hafen im Umbruch und durch den Wandel wurde es zu einer Art Wahrzeichen für die Stadt.

Heute gibt es dort etliche Cafes, Bars, Restaurants, Hotels, Architekturbüros, Designervereinigungen und noch viel mehr...
...und nicht zu vergessen die beliebten Nachtclubs!

Bugün, Meerbar'daydık, burada Düsseldorf'taki Medienhafen'de biraz chillaxen yaptik.

Bu beyaz bina üçten biri, biraz eğimli ve tam olarak normal değil. Onlar 1999 yılında Amerikalı mimar Frank Gehry tarafından tasarlandı ve inşa edildi. Düsseldorf Medya Limanı'nın yeni dönüm noktası olmaya yardimci oldular. O zaman, liman bir akı halindeydi ve değişim yoluyla bir tür dönüm noktası oldu.

Bugün kafeler, bar, restoran, otel, mimarlık ofisler, medya ofisleri, tasarımcı dernekleri ve çok daha fazlası var...
...ve bütün gece kulüplerini unutmamak gerek!
