More Fashion Nudes this time with model Fayette who is a Fashion & Art Nude Model. She has a great Yoga Body and we got some amazing images from our shoot together.
But first there is a strange trend I have noticed on Steemit with my work that I'm not understanding...
Very often on my non-nude posts I'll have more votes than views at least during the active period. This is easy to explain, with Auto-Voters, witness voters or people just upvoting my listings because they like the Thumbnails or they like my work in general, or want the Curation payout and/or just want to support it. So I understand why this happens.
Here is what I don't understand... On my posts with nudes, I get roughly 2-3 times the views as I do votes?
Here's my thinking and point of view/rant...lol
I don't get that if you going to look at my work over and over again which I know many people do why are you not upvoting?
I know my work does not suck as I get a lot of votes, a lot of comments, I have been published by Playboy and I have a ton of models that want to shoot with me and very often the images this happens on get a lot of votes and do very well.
So what is behind this lookie loo syndrome of looking but not voting? I mean it takes 1 second to vote and it cost you nothing personally, and you obviously get some entertainment value from my work regardless of if you love it or hate it (much like the listeners of the Howard Stern show), so why just look and not vote?
Anyway I find that confusing on posts that have pictures and have thumbnails. I understand it on posts that with texts about things you disagree with. Maybe there is a fear that somehow someone will see they upvoted a nude image which is why I have started adding this line below to my posts...

This brings to mind a feature I'd like to see on Steemit "Anonymous Voting" so that you can vote without your name being listed or it be public.
Anyway it's just something I don't understand as I tend to be a open book myself and I don't look at things I don't like very often and certainly not over and over again which is what I think is happening. But I ask that if you are viewing my work that you support it, which I think is fair, since I put so much time and energy into it.
What's your Theory as to why this happens and do you see it on your posts also?

What Goes In To My Work/Art:
For those that don't know, I spend a lot of time on all of my photos, unlike camera phone pictures, or quick snap shots. For any shoot there is model selection, planning, equipment setup, the shoot which is usually several hours where I shoot several hundred photos, then there is equipment tear down, choosing the best images which takes a couple of hours, color grading/correction, and then I spend sometimes an hour or two on a single image retouching and creating the final look, then resizing and watermarking for the web, even my Polaroids have to be scanned in, cropped, have the dust removed, resized and watermarked, so to the people that think I'm just posting a pic or two they are not seeing all of the work that goes into that picture they are looking at.
With advanced photo-manipulation and composites that can add many more hours of work. And what also makes these images possible is the years I have spent learning my craft, the $10,000+ in equipment + the Studio I was paying for that sadly I no longer have, and the model and Makeup Artist (when I use one) are either paid or get additional pictures which means more work for me, none of this is cheap or free it's a lot of work that I do because I love creating beautiful images.
I added this to my posts because it seems that people no longer value professional photography or understand what goes into it regarding, time, expense, etc... And some feel a camera phone picture of a ham sandwich or a selfie has equal value regardless of the difference in production time and cost. Almost every professional photographer I know has been adversely affected by the devaluation of professional photography due to mass proliferation of camera phones and the perception that all photos are created equally, so I try my best to educate people on what goes into what we do.

I'm finding your observations on voting fascinating - it never occurred to me that men would be afraid to vote on your posts because their wives would be checking everything they vote on and would beat the crap out of them for looking at porn, but I think you are dead right.
However I think it's a bit of a claim to say your photos are superior to cell phone selfies -all photos are equally worthy. To say otherwise is elitism...

I never vote for something I thing is just stolen from somewhere and posted here.
Most of NSFW seems to be that. Sometimes there is even a watermark for the website in the picture...
This is not in your case but it could be one reason.
Another could be people are just too busy using their hand somewhere else so they cannot click :D
What if it's your work though? A model can't share images from shoots they've done?
Legally they do not hold the copyright to the photos. Being in a photo does not give you rights, the copy right is always owned by the person who shot it in the U.S. (and most other places as well), the model also signs a model release allowing the image to be used commercially by the photographer.
What you negotiate with the photographer can give your the rights. If you hire a photographer you will have to see if you have the rights to use them commercially as well as just hiring a photographer does not always guarantee commercial rights. So you have to discuses that with the photographer ahead of time. I personally have different rates for personal & portfolio usage Vs. commercial usage.
Say I did a shoot for a porn company, and I gave them the rights to the content, and I have been given the go ahead to use the content for promotional purposes, and not for commercial use. Is SteemIt considered promotional use? Is there a grey area? If so I'll have to stop sharing some of those shots on here ^^;
This is grey area as could be considered commercial use I believe. You would have to check with them. Personally if I allowed a model to use my images on here I'd want her to use the split feature so they payout would be shared.
The reason being is that as a female she would probably make more money from the photos than I would just by being female, when I put in up to 8x the actual hours on the images and there is also a duplicate content issues with Steemit I believe we'er would not both post the same images.
I do not know how to use the split feature yet but I have heard it has been implemented maybe someone else can chime in on this with more knowledge than I have on it.
But if I paid her for the shoot I might not allow it at all. That would be me paying someone to profit from my work and then prevent me for also using it on Steemit. So that would be just really bad business.
I'm not trying to rub any bad elbows in the industry, thanks for the heads up, I'll quit using those and get to shooting more quality stuff at home ^_^
I respect that as I'm the same way I won't vote on Stolen/Pirated images either as I know how much work goes into producing them.
