Sacred Travels

Meeting people where they are at is not as easy as it sounds. I truly believe if we step into the shoes of others, trying to understand them as opposed to judge them-we will ALL truly all get along- Empathy- Is it a good thing? What is it? Maybe we all do not embody this quality. But, to live a life which is m uplifting, carefree and filled with more love, is always something that can give us a feeling that we are on time.
Why do I use this term...On time? Well, It's about living in the moment. Being one with ourselves, others and our creator can grant us that peace.

When in this realm, it's as if time and space are a continuum-and every moment feels like one truth that can be sustained.
When you encounter this-you will know you are indeed on time. Colors are more vibrant! Time stands still. Peace flows within and through us. We become a conduit of light. Energy abounds. Things simply seem to go our way. This space we have all sensed, long for, or have been in is undeniably, a shot of ecstasy. The feeling achieved when in this state is a natural high induced by our brains. Many try to mimic this space using and or abusing drugs. Why? Well, drugs are mind altering. They can get people to this state. But, can they sustain this feeling of oneness? Doubtfully!

When we live a semi-monastic life, we alter our perceptions with meditation, prayer, song, and even movement. This is a much more sustainable avenue to venture upon as it leads us to vitality and longevity. Another way to create this experiential realm, is when we travel.
Seeking new adventures can be amazing for our brain chemistry. Basically, we are affected by fresh stimuli. Everything we see, hear, touch, smell and even taste is different. So, in essence we are reborn and have a fresh outlook like children in awe .
Not only what we sense all around us is unique, but even our daily routines are completely fresh. This novel stimuli, enhances and awakens our senses, and refreshes and regenerates us. For these reasons as well others, traveling is and can always be a spiritual experience.
Here are some photos I took on my adventures
Portugal with my bestie Coco Channel

This beautiful bird flew into my arms on a cold rainy night in Portugal. I can truly say I was in a space of wonder and awe. Not only that, but, before the bird flew into my arms, I told others with whom I was traveling that the bird would do this. He did! And he spent the night in my hotel room. He flew away the next day revitalized and refreshed. This sweet young pigeon was a wild bird, but that night, with me, he was clam and tender. He lay next to me all night on towel. It was the best night with this lil guy.
Coco was unsure about this winged creature. However, they both got along well and by morning time, they had become fast friends.

The little sweetie just needed a warm bed. He slept in, and by the afternoon we parted. But He left a mark on my heart which I shall be forever grateful for.
You see, I met this pigeon where he was at. I was one with him. I knew he needed me that night. I was certain of this and nothing in me hesitated. This is why he flew into my arms and lay in my chest all through dinner. I covered him with a scarf I had just bought so he would be warm. I nestled him inside of my large jacket. He simply sat there, quite content as I ate. He was covered so no one even noticed him. It was a majestic experience for sure. Imagine if we had that certainty and openness with others? Ya See, I could have judged this creature and not helped him. Missing out on that experience would have been a shame for sure.
Ya see what we can co-create if we are open and aware of life around us.
I loved and still love this bird ever so.
He is my wingman and was that night. I know he still lives. And regardless if I ever see him again- He made my life more meaningful. I also made his something to live for.
Interdependent. We embodied that and created hope. A hope for a better tomorrow
