Hey there! Welcome to my steemit page, the collection of my interests: I’m passionate about photography and traveling which I’m both combining right here.
For me it's not about technically perfect shots because I love to summarize a story or a moment in a picture. This kind of background story isn't always visible at first sight, so on my page you'll not only find pictures but places, anecdotes, tips, tricks, recommendations,...

I have to admit that I'm truly in love with sunrises and sunsets! For me it's the perfect way to start a day, even if I have to get up early, and to end it while capturing the last light. As a conclusion I hate to see an incredible sunset while I'm sitting inside, locked away by work.
In this case I almost missed it: I was on vacation with a large group of people and we had a meeting every evening. We set down in a library and talked about the day's progress. Slowly the sunlight started to disappear and a friend nodded his head towards the window. I knew that there was one place down the hill, which would look insane during sunset, but it was a pretty long walk and the sun was almost gone...
After the meeting I rushed up the stairs into my room, grabbed my gear and went down the hill. When I arrived at the bridge I pulled the camera out of my bag and snapped a few shots like this one.
After I realized that the best part of the show hasn't started yet, I set up the tripod and screwed a ND filter onto my lens. Thirty seconds later I was blown away by the result on my screen.
The final photo looks pretty calm, but the journey to get it was kind of an hurry!

thanks for your lovely feedback! It's incredible what a long exposure can offer!
