During rainy season this is really dangerous. Years after years it is serving this country but really affected by the huge electronic dam created by Indian government.

Farakka Barrage is a barrage across the Ganges River, located in Murshidabad district in the Indian state of West Bengal, roughly 16.5 kilometres (10.3 mi) from the border with Bangladesh near Chapai Nawabganj District. Farakka Barrage Township is located in Farakka (community development block) in Murshidabad district. Construction was started in 1961 and completed in 1975.

Bangladesh is a small part of the hydrodynamic system that includes the countries of Bhutan, China, India, and Nepal. Bangladesh lies at the receiving end of this hydrodynamic system. The Ganges-Brahmaputra delta, of which Bangladesh is a part, has been created by deposition of river-borne sediments. Ganges water and sediment have been diverted through a barrage (dam) at Farakka in India. This has adversely affected agriculture, navigation, irrigation, fisheries, forestry, industrial activities, salinity intrusion of coastal rivers, groundwater, riverbed aggradation, sediment influx, coastal erosion and submergence in Bangladesh

Now there are several hidden island in the river due to the Dam what causing the deaths of several part of the mighty River and due to reduced depths of the river each year there are costly flood makes people to loose everything.

Sort:

Nice captures bro! The river looks really aggressive.
This happens here too in Pakistan during the rainy seasons, with India having the control over the water before they enter Pakistan.
Anyways, stay safe before. Hope the river settles soon :)

It not gonna settled (personal opinion), thanks for your comments and valuable time. I really appreciate your concern.
