Glittery Waters of Lake Tahoe, NV. Virtual and Surreal Videos

in #photography7 years ago

We recently went to Lake, Tahoe and we were blown away by how pretty it truly is. Lake Tahoe straddles the California and Nevada Border. When we drove around the lake it took us one hour and we were in California Then Nevada and California again.

Here is a close up of the caves.

This video is a clip from Cave Rock which is on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. Cave Rock is a sacred place to the Natives that gathered here. They would perform ceremonies in the natural caves that are perched above the Lake.

The water at Lake Tahoe glitters does to the high amount of pyrite in the sand and silt. It is gorgeous! The temperature was 73degrees this day. The sun was warm on our skin, but the water was ICE cold!

The water in Lake Tahoe is so clear. Up to 1300ft in some places. It would be cool to have a glass canoe out on the Lake. You can come here and enjoy the Lake or the snowy mountains. Their are nice snow resorts. The best time to visit Lake Tahoe is early spring or early fall. It becomes really crowded during peak season, but at these times the weather is warm and not many people are visiting.
