I did not like this city at first sight. He met us sullenly and unfriendly, it was gloomy and it was raining. Residents of the city greeted us cordially. Waitresses in cafes and restaurants were pretty and charming. They joked with us, offered to stay. Their smiles promised something more. But I did not like this city.
The sun came out, crowds of tourists rushed to the square. There was a merry hubbub. There was a smell of coffee. It was a beautiful autumn day. But I desperately did not like this city. I will never return to it ...

Мне с первого взгляда не полюбился этот город. Он встретил нас угрюмо и неприветливо, было сумрачно и шел дождь. В отличие от погоды жители города встретили нас приветливо. Официантки в кафе и ресторанах были очаровательны и милы. Они шутили с нами, предлагали остаться. А их улыбки обещали нечто большее. Но мне не нравился этот город.
Вышло солнце, толпы туристов ринулись на площади. Слышался веселый гомон. Пахло кофе. Выдался шикарный осенний денек. Но мне отчаянно не нравился этот город. Я никогда не вернусь в него...
