This Gerbera daisy was a Mother's Day gift that my son-in-law picked out for me last May and it grew in a pot and brightened my deck all summer with its blooms.
When the weather turned cold the flowers began producing seeds and gave me some interesting photo opportunities.
I brought it indoors for the winter and I'm hopeful I can keep it alive to bloom again next summer.
This rose was also a gift...
That little bud was just beginning to bloom when we got our first snow and it got knocked to the ground.
I rescued it and brought it in the house and put it in a vase, but the little rose bush is planted outdoors in hopes it can survive the winter.

@melinda010100 store-bought rose bushes are hard to keep alive, you have to make sure you buy one that will do well in your zone.
It was a gift and I know nothing about it.
@melinda010100 sometimes the nurseries sell plants that are not suited for Floridas climate, they know they will not survive down here, plants like tulips and hyacinths will not grow here no matter how you care for them but they sell them anyway.
That happens here, too. I hope this little rose is hardy!

Lovely flower photography, nice detail on seeds bursting to fly on the wind, hope you captured some to grow Melinda.
Soft Apricot/Orange rose reminds me of my Dad's favourite called a "Little Joey", not sure it that is the true name, it was what he referred to when he spoke of this beautiful rose, it had a divine perfume as well.
