Lhokseumawe (ANTARA Aceh) - The price of hazelnut seeds in the last month in Lhokseumawe, again increased from Rp22 thousand to Rp28 thousand / Kg, due to the reduced supply of some commodity-producing areas in Aceh.
Boyhaki, a spice trader at Lhokseumawe Inpres Market, said on Saturday that the commodity prices had already increased from Rp20 thousand to Rp22 thousand / kg and now rose again to Rp28 thousand / kg.
He mentioned, the increase in the price of one of the ingredients of the spices, because of the depletion of supply from the area of †<†<producing candlenuts. Typically, the pecan supply is always there every week.
While the supply of candlenuts for some traditional markets in Lhokseumawe City comes from plantation areas around Lhokseumawe, such as from North Aceh, Bireun and East Aceh districts.
Meanwhile, one of the other traders added, the need for candlenuts in traditional markets in Lhokseumawe City, more widely used for the needs of kitchen spices and other food mix, especially traditional food or culinary.
In the province of Aceh, this plant is commonly found in almost all districts, especially in Aceh Besar and Southeast Aceh districts, which are the largest areas of candlenuts.
Candle seeds are marketed in the area for various needs of spices as well as one of the commodity export of plantation products
