I'm so glad you told me to read this post! I've already learned a ton from your blog that will help me avoid tourist mistakes as I travel through Europe.

As for the cable ride, I think the only one I've ever taken was in the Redwood Forest in Northern California. It went through some of the oldest and largest trees on the planet, but wasn't scary at all. If you get to the States, I highly recommend a trip to see the Sequoias. They are magical.
