In my very early ages I started thinking about words and their origins and meanings.
Sooner or later I came to the word "god" and I found it very similar to the word "good". But I couldn´t believe, it is that easy. I couldn´t believe they have the same origin. But I was wrong:
One day I saw a woman with a tattoo on her shoulder saying "Good bless you". I asked her, if she ever looked in the mirror to see what the artist wrote her into the skin and if he maybe misspelled something. She proofed me, I was wrong: Its Old-english and it´s spelled correctly.
This was another hint, that led me to the conclusion, that "God" has something to do with "good".
I never understood when people say, they believe in God, because I never believed in that concept of a man with a long beard up in the sky. And what sense would it make, if you say you are convinced of that man? It is not that no one ever saw him. It is not that everyone describes him different. It is about the fact, that he is called "Go(o)d" and in his name so many bad things happened.
Let me just go back as far as we started talking maybe 100.000 years ago.
Just imagine a family of our ancestors sitting in the cave and outside it´s raining. Suddenly a lightning blasts very close to the cave and makes the little Neanderthal baby shiver of fear. Looking up to her mum with her big eyes, Mom says "evrrrythings gooood" in a superchilled way, for example.
In my opinion that´s where it all started with good/god, because this baby got more confident and survived more easily than the baby in the neigbour cave, where mom was afraid and couldn´t explain what happened or even cried also.
If you saw the film "Life is beautiful" with Roberto Benigni, you know what I mean ;)
Today the concept of God and religions as we know it only makes sense when you want to control people. It´s not to help people get rid of their fears, it is not about feeling good and perfect the way you are. It is more about: if you do the right thing, then you get a reward. It is the exact opposite as what it is meant to be.
Otherwise we wouldn´t have had the crusades, hexene combustion and nowadays the terrorism.
Everything in the name of God...
If you agree, please share and help me spread the word.
Good bless you!

I agree with you. Life is about unconditional love, religion is a means of control which was created and spread as a belief system, and as we all know that which you believe in is your truth and becomes your reality.
Yesss, I agree with you totally.
