Hi
So recently I have been watching a lot of videos about street photography, especially the inspirational Sean Tucker (https://www.seantucker.photography/). Of course, the pinnacle of street photography gear is a Leica but there's no way I could stretch to one of those!!. So, out of nowhere, I dropped a bit of cash on a Ricoh GR III. It's a fixed focal length 28mm equivalent point-and-shoot with a 24-megapixel APS-C sensor. It's the perfect stealth street photography camera with some excellent features such as focus snapping (where you set a focal length and with a quick full press of the shutter button, it will fire off a shot without having to refocus).
The only annoying this is that I don't really live anywhere near a big town or city to make use of the features easily. In any case, I took it out quickly today between showers just to see how it copes in overcast light in my village. Fired off this nice abstract of a rotting shed. Its sharp enough to take your eyes out. Can't wait to get this little powerhouse out into London, Cambridge or Norwich in the near future.
That is cool, with out you saying a rotting shed I first saw it as a paper birch tree with peeling bark close up.
who needs expensive equipment? Just take a cam and start shooting; I'm not even bothered with my 250mm focal length :D
