Well, I actually live far away now, and even the older generations are currently buying much more than producing. They all have their other qualifications and professions, the eldest being engineers and medics. So it's a hobby to them, even. To me, the problem is the location and the lack of reliable teleportation. Wait...any teleportation. So, there will be some thinking and some decisions ahead.
