ONCE IN A LIFETIME ADVENTURE AT LANNA ELEPHANT CAMP – THAILAND

in #photography7 years ago

Hey steemians! What's up guys? My tour has been started. I'm in Thailand right now and it's beautiful. Nice weather, people and delicious food. I'm lovin' it.

Have you ever wanted to meet an elephant, or even bathe one?

I finally completed one of the things high up on my bucket list, having a bath with an elephant. It was absolutely magical to say the least! I decided to go with Lanna Kingdom Elephant Camp, and I’m super happy I chose this place. There were 3 elephants on site and our group was only 3 people as well, so we got to be super hands on and pretty much have our own elephant. The elephants here were treated extremely well and there was no riding thank god! Don’t even get me started on riding elephants! Anyways,, I have so many photos of this experience, check them out below and their stories and you know what I saw here? HUMANITY, LOVE and CARE.

Aren’t elephants beautiful? I can’t get over how large and gentle they are. At first I couldn’t believe how tough their skin was! Have you ever met an elephant before? Did you have a cool experience? Comment below I’d love to hear about your stories! As you can probably see, I met two lovely people in the tour group that turned out to be super cool! As someone who likes to take a lot of photos, you can probably tell that I’m not in many of my “good camera” photos. I really need to find myself a man so he can take photos of me!

It was getting late so the Thais started to put branches on fire to keep the mosquitoes away. We decided it was a perfect backdrop for cool looking photos. Other than when the smoke got in our eyes, ouch!! There’s one photo below with a Thai on his phone and the others behind him taking a break from fire-making, I found it such an interesting photo because the landscape and people look so rural, but a small piece of technology is still alive.

Bathing and swimming with the elephants so amazing! It’s like noting I’ve ever done before! It costed about $100 CAD and i’d do it again in a heartbeat! Heading to an elephant camp is definitely something that should be on your bucket list while coming to Thailand. Don’t be doing any of that riding though!

Thanks for checking out my awesome elephant camp experience with Lanna Kingdom. I hope you bookmark this and plan your elephant adventure! Hope you like the photography. Please upvote this adventurous post, comment below and tell me what you think about Thailand and tell me your location and yes don't forget to resteem it.
