Good to see you posting interesting family pics and not declining payout. I think we need to validate posts like this as there are many who will someday be on Steemit who will never care to write a single blog post.

Thanks for the encouragement, Jason. :)

Looks like a fun and educational day for the whole family. We've taken the kids to Cosi and they loved it. We'll have to make a road trip down and check this out. Happy Father's Day!

Back in march we took the kids to COSI! The great thing about it is that my 6 year old was there having a blast but was learning in the same. We had a discussion on the drive home about how much fun he had. He then had an aha moment when he realized he had fun and took knowledge away from the experience. Such a great thing to do for the adventurous kids and the subliminally are learning!

What's Cosi?

Thanks for the father's day wishes!

It's a Science Museum in Columbus, OH. It has tons of "hands on" exhibits & is engineered to be very kid friendly.

Very cool! We'll keep it in mind if we're ever heading through that area.

Whoa 😲 moon rocks? Didn't ev n know you could own those! Great pictures btw, looks like all the kids had a great time^_^. I really like that pyramid looking thing too! Thanks a lot for sharing!

I don't think you can. You have to get certified to even be able to check them out to show for educational purposes and even then you need training and stuff (I was quite interested in all this, so I was asking questions). Even then, they track every person who has them and exactly what they do with them. It's kind of amazing.

whoa! Sounds like a ton of work, but I hope to own some some day!

What a fun way for the kids to learn about science - being hands on and having the activities really does engage them rather than a school textbook.

We school at home and even though it's summer, they are always learning! :)

Looks like a blast! We have a similar science center in St. Louis I love to check out when we take trips up North. May have to head to TN and check this one out next!

I may have been to that one! We've done a bunch of road trips with the kids and usually find some cool place to stop and learn.

Fun and learning at the same time...perfect weekend for kids...I'm sure you guys had a great time...are we allowed to touch moon rocks?

They are encased in plexiglass, so I guess not. They mentioned when they do handle the larger samples, they have those clean box thingies they use.

oh that's sad but ya even they have to preserve and protect them.

Science is awesome. Looks like you had a great day!

I lived in Chattanooga, TN for a year or two as a kid. Lovely state and phenomenal weather! Followed and upvoted. :)

Thanks for the follow! Always greatly appreciated.

No problem! You're welcome to follow me back if you like! :)

Haha. I rarely follow when someone asks for it (most usually earn it through great comments or posts I see being resteemed), but the potato shark tank episode hooked me.

Lol well I appreciate it! Crazy, right? Coworker told me about that company over lunch one day and I was both shocked and impressed.

Sounds like fun...too bad you can't touch them. I just posted about NASA, you should check it out https://steemit.com/photography/@scottland/one-bigger-leap-for-mankind

Great post! Upvoted and following to see what else you come up with.

Artificial Tsunami :O

It was quite interesting. :)

Glad you had a lovely day, thanks for sharing with us :)

Very nice post @lukestokes. I'm quite new to steemit and am still finding my way around however have found some excellent content so far. Thanks for sharing your words and images. Much appreciated.

Great! Steemit is a pretty amazing place. I've been here for almost a year, actively posting and commenting. I love it.

Looks like a great time! It looks like we will be pretty close to the eclipse line here in Omaha, Nebraska as well. Thanks for sharing!

Sweet! Definitely check it out. After watching that documentary, I realize more now how big of a deal this is. It's really an amazing opportunity that some people travel half way around the world to see.

Moon rocks are awesome! I can't wait until our 8 month old daughter is old enough for us to take her to places like this, I know she'd love it just as much as they did! Followed you!

Thanks for the follow! Yeah, at lunch today my wife and I were just thinking how awesome it is that we don't have stroller or diaper bag anymore. :)

It'll be a while before that happens for us since we are new parents and wanting at least 4 children!

LOL, where are the conspiracy theorists. Waiting to read their comments for this one!!!1 XD

Well, we've got one already. I told them to go read a book. ;-)

Or better, just send him to the moon itself!!

Wow, great pictures! The kids looked like they had a fun time! I love the science center

So cool! Would love to be there too.

Looks like you had alot of fun!

Upvoted and resteemed :-)
Greetings from Berlin.

Thanks so much! It's after 2am here, so I really should get some sleep. Hello Berlin!

wow...I've never seen such a long post...

great way to spend some time with the kids !

Keep it up you deserves a steemit oscar

Thanks! :)

Very cool post. Lots of pics! Love it! Kids need their science and this looks like a great place to teach them! Keep it up!

Thanks! I love that place. It's kind of my happy place. I take the kids there often on the weekends when I want to give Corinne a break.

Me and my cousins are going up to NC and TN next week for family and fun. Maybe we will stop at the Adventure Science Center there!

Certified moon stones. That reminded me of the moon rock given to Holland, turned out to be petrified wood :D

Hence my mention of "no petrified wood here" ;-)

Hey Luke i like this post because it is different and shows your love for your family! I am 14 and you are a real inspiration so if you could support my latest post by upvoting that would be much appreciated :)

Glad to be an inspiration for you, but notice I've never asked for upvotes before. Let the value of your posts speak for themselves and put in the time and effort to build a following. I've been working on this for almost a year now. It'll take time. More thoughts here.

After reading that post i really have a better understanding. I now want to build up a following and put up good content consistently. So far you are carrying my Steemit account which i really appreciate and think of it as a boost to get me into this lovely community :) The tips are very useful to me as a young user so thank you ;)

Very cool and nice pics, thanks for sharing!

Thanks and you're welcome!

@lukestokes you have already been closer to the moon than amstrong ever was! :p

Go read a book. :P

Is hydro-fracking safe? Is climate change real? Did the moon landing actually happen? How about evolution: fact or fiction? Award-winning author-illustrator Darryl Cunningham looks at these and other hot-button science topics

Hahah... "hot button" science topics. Not really. For the most part, science isn't confused about this stuff. Those who are confused about science often are though. Sounds like an interesting book. :)

Looks like a fun place and great day with the family! Thanks for sharing, would definitely take our 3 boys next time we are in Nashville!

For sure! It's a great time. We have an annual membership so we go all the time. If you want to turn it into a Steemit meetup, drop me an email when you come through luke.stokes @ gmail

This place looks soooooo FUN! I wish we had something like this in my city. I would go every month. I hope you'll post stuff on the solar eclipse this August.

Looks like you guys had a great day :) I love moon rocks

Really interesting.... (^_^)
That is why the truth there is no man step in the moon! ARMSTRONG is not real... logically and commonsence, if there is why there is no sample of soil or sand came from the moon? And why small rocks only and not big rocks? Ahahaha... and it was in the bible already that no man can go after the earth... 😆😇
