Solar Eclipse 2017

Solar eclipse of August 21, 2017:

Don't know why I took sooo long to post this.....well I do (I'm lazy :)

I really wasn't sure what the experience would be like, and reading about other peoples experiences doesn't do it justice.

Fortunately I was able to travel to Nashville, TN, which falls under the line of totality. The total solar eclipse may have lasted 2 minutes, but overall it was like a 2 hour experience.

In short the experience was sublime. Within the first hour (partial eclipse) the air got cooler, colors of everything started to look more saturated and grey at the same time. Getting closer to totality, the light reflecting on everything looked almost silver, and even though it was dark you could see everything more clearly.

During totality, I (and everyone else around me) was met with an overwhelming feeling of excitement. I didn't expect that.....it was weird :) and amazing.
