Many moons ago, 12 years to be more precise, I was working for a printing company as their senior designer. One of the perks of the job was that I was given a rather decent camera to use so I could take photos for clients who were to cheap to get a real photographer.
So I decided to give a go at this photography thing. Bought a few ebooks, okay I downloaded them for free, jeez... Anyway I started learning this art and a friend offered to model for me.
I had the camera setup on the tripod and she started playing with her daughter while we were taking a break, and I snapped this photo. My mom entered it into a small competition where I came third.
The child is now finishing off high school, but I haven't even seen her since that day. Dropped off a disc with all the photos from that day with my friend's mom, as I hadn't seen my friend for just as many years and bumped into her mom recently.
