Are you one of those people who take a lot of pictures on your journeys📷? In that case, you probably have a huge collection of unused photos sitting on your hard drive, waiting to be used. Usually, they’ll sit there forever, which is a pity. We want to show you how to give those pics a purpose.
Unsplash and other CC0 websites
Have you heard of Unsplash? It’s a website that promotes sharing pictures for free with people who really need them for their projects. As you may know, licensing a photo can be quite expensive; buying it is crazy expensive.
Unsplash is basically a community of photographers, travellers and other people who like taking pictures🤳 and sharing them with the world to use — for free.
We joined Unsplash a long time ago and uploaded some pictures🖼️; two of them actually got selected by the Unsplash team to be featured😊. Both have been downloaded a few thousand times!
But it’s really not about how popular a pictures is. We love to help people and giviging away pictures we have no use for is a great way to do that. If you need some cool pictures, check out our Unsplash profile and if you have unused images, please, upload them to Unsplash.
Helping fellow people and getting exposure
Besides helping people, Unsplash also generates exposure for you. A lot of people talked about how they got new clients through Unsplash. We’re not one of them, however, we stumbled over some of our pictures on pretty big outlets — and that feeling was really great.
We always hope that, even though the images are free and you’re not obligated to give any credit, that people still include our name, brand or a link to our blog.
7 CC0 websites to share your images for free
Finally, we’d like to show you a list of CC0 websites you can upload your images to:
We hope that you design the CC0 community with your pictures!
