This is the image of M51 galaxy, a.k.a. Whirlpool galaxy. It is located at a distance of 23 million light years away from the Earth.
The image was taken by me, in 2015, at the Mt. Vidojevica, using 60 cm Cassegrain telescope.
The image was not of the desired quality, because observation was performed during the time when moonlight influence was significant. Because of the same reason bright lines appeared in the image above, but its still pretty cool and I am more than satisfied because this was my first independent astro-photography project.
In the image above you can see the Vidojevica observatory where the image was taken.
so beautiful
superb ! it must a be very high-quality lens that's why the image is so perfect !

@laniakea1 I support your post)
Great photo. Good thing that you have access to the telescope, otherwise you would have to try long-exposure photography which is a pain in the behind!
im lucky :D
Wow beautiful. Desire quality or not, this is an epic shot.
