One Year of Photos 11/365 - Maybe I love Too Much - Original Work

in #photography7 years ago

Welcome to day 11 of a photo a day for 365 days! Today is day 11 and I want to share one of my favourite photos.

This is an image from an engagement session. This may say a lot about what I personally really like in pictures, or what emotions I am drawn too. But these intimate and emotional moments are my favourite. For most of this particular photo session they were smiling and laughing, they are very happy people. But somehow in the middle of all the smiles this happened, like a breath was taken and they stopped for a moment. I can't figure out how to express what is that I love so much, but maybe you can see it too. Feel it too?

I shot this image at dawn, by a river in Edmonton. It was such a beautiful night and I love that little bit of light hitting the side of them. I used the usual Canon 6D and my 70-200 mm sigma lens that was set at 2.8 f. (Finally a different lens! not the 50mm!) My shutter speed was at 1/800 seconds. This image I originally edited in photoshop, but I just re did it in Lightroom! I took this back in 2015 and I am always evolving with my editing and I like it even MORE now. I was not going to share this part but screw it! I want to show how different it is...

^^^It is so dark and too desaturated for my taste now... I love the new edit way more! Thoughts?

As always, thank you for checking out my photo blog! Please comment if you like what you see, and follow if you want to join the 365 day journey! I will continue to post one piece of original work for one year in hopes to spread fun, inspiration and interaction on Steemit. Here are the links if you would like to check out the past few days:

Scrolling through new for 45 minutes. Finally I see someone posting some original content!

I'm not sure which is the new edit but I prefer the second photo. I feel like the crop of the first one is unbalanced and would rather it be the left side that was cropped. And while the second one may be too desaturated I like the faint rose tint it has as opposed to the very warm tones of the first image.

Just my 2cents! Thanks for posting.

The first one is the new one! Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to comment. Yah its tough for me... maybe I have looked at it too much...lol...

I think there's a happy medium to be found between the two ways you've processed the image :)

So true.... :)
