Visiting Hervey Bay, dining at Tres Salsas, and general babbling!

in #photography2 years ago

It's time for photos! I wasn't really expecting another opportunity to go out and play with my dying old camera, but here it is.

For those who may randomly click on this and don't know — I have a Nikon D5000, have had it since the year it came out so it's a good 13 years old right now, and over the years an issue has come about where the camera sensor decides to play up. I often have to take the same photo three or four times before I get one of the correct exposure. It can get quite frustrating, especially when animals are involved.

Anyway! We went to Hervey Bay today for lunch and entertainment and since it was a nice, sunny day, I thought that I'd find a nice spot for beach photos too.

For lunch, I wanted to try out this little Mexican inspired restaurant called Tres Salsas. True to its name, they have a house special which involves three sauces, but I was more interested in their fully loaded tacos.

In Australia, Mexican food is a complete novelty which has only recently started to become more popular (here in QLD anyway), and this little restaurant is amazing. Everything was flavourful and delicious, and because (TMI ) it's the time of the month and I'm moody and sad because I'm not pregnant yet (been trying for a year now, sigh), I decided to indulge in a couple of alcoholic drinky-drinkies too. Those were also fantastic. Pricey though, but well worth the indulgence!

A major part of the day we had planned was to take my son to Time Zone and play some games and win some prizes. I didn't feel comfortable taking photos in there though, there were too many people, but we had fun.

All in all, it was a good day today!

I'm really looking forward to getting my new camera body in coming months. It all depends on when I'm getting my inheritance. 😅 Which is supposed to be in September some time. Planning on a new camera body, a new computer, and a nice hefty chunk for a house deposit and some renovations once the housing market falls a bit more.

Owning our own home and actually being able to DO STUFF to our OWN HOME will be amazing. September can't come quick enough!

Until next time! 😊📷

The views are stupendous! The food looks delish too, are those tacos?

Yes! 😁 I had a pork taco, beef taco, and fish taco... the fish one was pretty spicy. 😬🔥 I wasn't expecting it. 😂

I love spicy food! I do have a sweet tooth too.

These pictures are amazing for a camera over a decade old! It's impressive how sharp they are! Those tacos look delicious too! Mexican food is fantastic!

It's a good camera for how long I've had it and how many moves its been through. When I first got it, the images were even sharper! It was great. I've just bought my upgrade and am waiting for it to be delivered. 😁😁😁 Looking forward to playing with a brand new camera!
