It is nice and well decorated, but is it comfortable? It doesn't seem so 🙄
If i should do a trade off, i prefer comfortability

i agree, it's not the most comfy. But in a public space you won't find leather etc. Public space has it's own specific demands. What i mean is that public space is mostly about usability and design that fuse with the surroundings.

Nice post

That's a great idea. I see so many creative uses for rocks, but unfortunately my landscape has none.

that's a pity becuase it is such a unoversal material :)

Beautiful work, cool picture. Nice design with stone its so lovely.

What a great idea! As I see it from the tag, it's located in Barcelona? :) Keep up, friend. Upped.

yes, my beautiful Barcelona:)

Who would have thought that a couple of stones stacked in such manner would put forth grace. It’s appealing to the eye. Artistic and I like😍

i'm glad you like it:)

That is a bench? Do not think it is great to sit atm Looks more like the walls I see everywhere in Europe nowadays. Also filled with green glass stones etc. I like them.

IMHO public space it's mostly about usability and design that fuse with the surroundings.

as the photo is very close .. the bank looks like a stone wall well accommodated with a wire mesh .. the bottom of the photo if it looks nice because of the green of the grass and the building in the background.

This is a stepped retaining wall :) It's a technique used to hold slopes and hills from falling over. It would make a pretty uncomfortable bench but you are right in you thinking. It could be tailored to become one in the future.

? i don't really understand your comment. it is a bench. I know because I took this photo.

Allow me to explain :)

A skate park needs to be excavated so it is concave - like a hollow bowl so that the skaters can go up and down. The sides of this excavation need to be retained so that land doesn't fall inside the bowl. A quick and cost effective way of retaining is by building a gabion wall.

A gabion wall usually consists of stacked stones in a wired mesh and is easy to install so I imagine that's what's happening in your image to hold the sides of the skate park. It's a pretty common technique in landscaping.

Of course, a lot of gabion walls are adapted as benches but then they usually require a wooden/stone/brick panel on top to allow for people to sit on them. Which is what I meant by you were right in your thinking that it could be tailored to become a bench in the future.

Hope this clarifies my comment :)

Thank you for your explanations :) What i meant was that it is used as a bench by people who are at the park and, on the other hand, i never saw it being used by skaters. ;) cheers!:)
