My astrophotography collection.

in #photography7 years ago

Good day.

I have always been fascinated by anything space related, wether it is Astronomy, Astrology or just the future of space travel, it never fails to capture my attention. Unfortunately we can't all be astronauts on a mission to explore the great unknown. To compensate for this I have combined my love for photography with my love for astronomy to bring you my next collection of photos.

Over the past few months I have been trying new techniques of capturing the best possible pictures of the moon as well as a few attempts at star trails. I have not been as successful at star trails, but I have managed to improve on my moon photography skills.

The following is a collection of my favorite astronomy photos with the settings used to capture it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

This was my first real attempt at capturing a photo of the moon and my motivation for all my future photos.

This was my first attempt at taking a photo of the moon during the day. I will attempt a more detailed photo in the future.

imageThis was my somewhat unsuccessful attempt of taking a long exposure to achieve star trails. I am still trying to perfect this technique, I hope to be doing more soon.

All of the photos were taken using my Tamron 70 - 300mm lens. The recent super moon was taken with my canon 75 - 500mm lens mounted on my canon 1300d.

If the weather conditions are good I will be doing an article on the the upcoming blue moon at the end of the month.

Thank you for your time and support. Feel free to leave a comment below or even some advice😊
