All photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and one of these lenses: Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM, Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM, Canon EF 16-35mm 1:4L IS USM, SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, SIGMA 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C. I wasn't sure how to explain the image I liked the best so this is the one;
I like how the drop seems to be totally hovering over the water, and the water is being displaced below it like a s if the drop is forcing the water down and out via some sort of anti gravity propulsion system. No secondary splashing or anything just the drop and displaced water, very nice shot.
Yes, I think this one is my favorite image too, because the drop is quite centered over that pit in the water, but I would never have had such an explanation as you have, although after reading your explanation and looking once again at the photo I do have to agree with you - it really looks like you say ... what a cool photo I have made ;)

I always wanted to try to photograph droplets, but don't have any macro lens.

Thank you very much my friend - I'm so glad I could save some of the photos including this one, which I have seen so many times when I edited it, but just a few words helped to see it completely different 🙂
I don't think you need a macro lens to try it. Of course, if you want to have the droplets very big on the photo a macro lens is quite handy to have, but I think more important is a good system to let the drops fall constantly and as fast as you want. Therefore my cheap 90-cent-infusion-system is not really the best ;)

I think these are awesome, love them all, I must look up the blood bags and see what I can find
in days of old there was !COFFEEA and !BEER, which is kind of !DERANGED when you think about it
It makes a lot of fun, and if you have the correct camera settings you'll also have fun seeing the photos on the computer monitor and don't need to edit that much until you kind of like them ;)

Mich hat gestern nur genervt, dass ich die automatische ISO Einstellung übersehen habe und keine Ahnung habe, wie das passieren konnte. Mit den Fotos selbst bin ich da im Grunde zufrieden, zumal ich solche Bilder seit Jahren nicht mehr gemacht habe.

Ich hab' das schon so lange nicht mehr gemacht und bin aus der Übung, hat aber Spaß gemacht - bis ich die verrauschten Fotos am Bildschirm und die verstellte ISO Einstellung gesehen habe ... nach etwas Photoshopping haben sie aber doch etwas besser ausgeschaut :)

Guten Morgen Peter,
das ist Spaß gewesen. Nächstes Mal werde ich es ein bisschen ernster machen und erstens die richtigen Kameraeinstellungen verwenden und zweitens versuchen, die Tropfen richtig fallen zu lassen, so dass zum Beispiel ein Tropfen auf den anderen fällt. Dadurch entstehen diese coolen Tropfenaufnahmen. Mit einem gewöhnlichen 90-cent-Infusionsgerät aus der Apotheke ist das zwar nicht so einfach, aber machbar :)
Einen schönen Tag mit nicht zuviel Hitze wünsche ich dir.
