It’s a beautiful day here in Kopparberg, Sweden and I decided to drive down to the nearby lake named Ljusnaren we have a couple of minutes from the small town. This lake is very well managed and clean.
The water is crisp to swim in and the sand is refined. All though not much algae and seaweed grow we have a decent amount of small dace fish. The probability of catching a fish from the jetty and possibly those large rocks you can see to the right aren’t that great from what I’ve experienced.
The depth of the lake is pretty shallow in the area surrounded by the platforms. When you pass the Horizontal jetty portion (Left) the water becomes increasingly deeper. Of course the temperature may vary depending on the heat but today it was 16°C / 60.8°F which is a decent temperature considering it’s the middle of September and the air is 22°C / 71.6°F
Kopparberg has a little over 4000 inhabitants (2015) and is home for many famous things as gold-and mineral mining, Opera på Skäret which is is a building where Opera singers perform together with an orchestra, Kopparberg’s Brewery which is the only one in Sweden but has many affiliated companies and the Treskilling Yellow Stamp (note: the stamp isn't located here but was created).
Other than that Kopparberg has three schools, one courthouse, a beautiful church, wild nature and lots of forrest.

The Treskilling Yellow stamp is a color error that happened year 1855 and is said to be the only one in the world. The stamps were ranging from 3-24 Swedish Shillings (a past currency) where the number 3 was originally supposed to be numbered on a green Postal stamp and an 8 on the yellow. Something went wrong and it is still unclear what the main reason is. The stamp was Canceled here in Kopparberg. Since the stamp is so rare and exclusive, it has auctioned off and been bought for the highest price a stamp has ever been sold for. The latest owner of the remarkable originality is Gustaf Douglas, a Swedish count, businessman, billionaire, politician. This creation is one of the highest priced stamps in the world.

Hej Johan!
