When I was a child we always have had white Christmas with lots of snow, but that has changed. Sometimes it snows in December, but I think I have seen my last white Christmas about 10 years ago.
The snow we have got last weekend is already melting away, and the weather forecast says it won't snow soon again.
That is very interesting sir johannpiber, about the snow. They say it all goes in cycles so your grandkids may have every Christmas be white. Here it is supposed to be about 22C on Christmas. lol. With lots of sun of course.
An avalanche of !BEER - that's a good one 😉👍
You have to build that cabin somewhere, where's no danger of avalanches, of course - somewhere where you have a nice view and watch the avalanches rush down the mountain ;)
On most mountains there are mor or less large mountain pastures where the farmers and other people have their cabins. I think these places should be safe to live ;)

I think the same @janton - the snow will come again at the right time after a few decades and the winter will be in the winter again 🙂

I would like to have a cabin in the mountains but I don't like the idea of avalanches! Unless it is an avalanche of beer.
