These days whenever possible I spend some hours in the near forest to enjoy the landscape, relax and observe some animals.
This weekend I got the opportunity again and would like to let you take part on what I saw during my little walk.
Hope you like the photos!

There are several glades which offer also smaller plants, like the beautiful but poisonous 'purple foxglove' (Digitalis purpurea) or the white blooming and intense scented and thereby insects decoying 'common hogweed' (Heracleum sphondylium), enough sunlight to grow.
/

Two exemplars of Coreus marginatus.
One main difference between 'Bugs' (suborder Heteroptera) and 'beetles' (order Coleoptera) is that bugs have a proboscis instead of cutting respective chewing mandibles. Furthermore their forewings are not completely sclerotic and in the rear partly transparent (therefore one also calls them hemelytra). Finally opposite to the holometabolous beetles, bugs are hemimetabolous.
/
Zwei 'Lederwanzen' (Coreus marginatus).

Mating Graphosoma lineatum.
/
'Streifenwanzen' (Graphosoma lineatum) bei der Paarung.

'Ladybug' species (family Coccinellidae).
/
Marienkäferart (Familie Coccinellidae).

'Purple foxglove' (Digitalis purpurea).
/
'Roter Fingerhut' (Digitalis purpurea).

Wow, I like Digitalis purpurea is Beautiful colors in are the love of nature smiles to us.

Sehr eindrucksvolle Bilder!

That is absolutely beautiful! It is my dream to buy some property 100 acres will do and build a log home in the middle of the property this is where I would find my peace. Thank you for sharing these stunning pictures.

Tolle Fotos, danke!

So those red and black striped ones are actually bugs and not beetles - great photographs and very informative too.

I have never seen the striped one before!

Thanks for stopping by, my friend! :)

You're most welcome :)

That striped insect is amazing. It's it some kind of ant species?

If you click on the link above the photo you can read that it belongs to the suborder Heteroptera (bugs).

Beautiful pictures!!!!!

@jaki01 Amazing!! It's look like russian forest)

Probably the forest actually doesn't know that it's a Germany forest. :-)

Anyway forests in Russia must be partly huge and impressive I guess.

@jaki01 Yeah)) Russia is very rich about forsts and green)) It can be different because of weather in Germany and Russia)

I'm lucky enough to live in an area much like this in the southern US.

Any time I'm stressed out, I just get my dog, and head towards the forest behind my house.

I watch the birds, the rabbits, the squirrels, and the occasional deer. My dog runs around like crazy, chasing everything it sees and always ends up jumping into the creek that's further into the woods.

By the time I get back to the house, I've usually forgotten what I was stressed out about.

Nice to hear that ... I understand how you feel!

beautiful pictures, thanks for taking us with you on this trip; you have a lovely environment !!
