Enjoy The Equinox

in #photography7 years ago

The Sedona area is full of lovely landscapes. This location is between Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek. It is National Forest land and that is why you don't see houses in the picture. I am posting this image which shows the majesty our planet earth in celebration of the spring equinox.

Oh, this is stunning. That shade of blue looks like something out of the technicolor era. Nice work, @irvinesimages.

Thanks again Laura I see you appreciate color.

Very much so. That has always been the case. As a kid, I was hooked on books that were illustrated by Brian Wildsmith. Perhaps you know his work.

The thing that's funny about this now is that my husband only likes shades of white or variations thereof. I'm sure you can imagine our conversations at Home Depot when it's time to paint one of the rooms in our house :)

No I am not familiar Brian Wildsmith but when it comes to paint when you add white to any color it just makes it softer and lighter. Actually when paint is mixed color is added to a gradient relative white base.

You're photographs are all so beautiful Mr Irvine. You are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful and scenic part of the world and I aporeciate your efforts to bring us all these wonderful images.

I've actually wanted to ask you something for a little while now but haven't found time til now. I intend to start posting regularly on steemit again and would like some beautiful images to compliment my posts. I was wondering if it would be at all possible for me to use some of yours. I would of course credit you every time I use on of your photos in a post. If you're not interested I completely understand but if you are please let me know and we can work something out by way of payment. :)

At any rate, I hope you're doing well and still enjoying your time on steemit. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful photos.

Have a great day. :)

Hi tonyr, That was a very nice compliment you gave me. Its my reward knowing that people are enjoying the fruits of my labor so thanks for passing that on, for that is the purpose of the endeavor. You have my permission to any of my images on my blog. This helps me out because I would like more people to see my work as a greater audience helps further my cause and effect. I don't need to receive any payment from you. What goes around comes around. I have to say much thanks for the upvotes! I have really enjoyed being a part of the steemit community even though it consumes a lot of my time. I plan on sticking with it for the foreseeable future.

Thank you so much Mr Irvine. I really appreciate you letting me use the photos from your blog. They're all really amazing and will make my posts look a lot more professional. :)

I will of course credit you in every post that I use one of your photos which will hopefully attract more attention to your blog but I'd also like to do something more to show my aporeciation. I'll think of something. :)

Thanks again Mr. Irvine. I hope you have a great day.

Your very welcome tonyr!

Hi Friend @irvinesimages. Soon I will do a spring photo contest. Your captures would be a good proposal for this challenge since the canyon is in full spring. I want to get good captures like the ones you do every day to participate. Many greetings!

Thanks and greetings to you, Keep me posted

Absolutely fantastic

Fantastic reply, Thanks!

No probs, it is really a beautiful picture.

thanks for this beautiful photo

You are very welcome!

Oh, wow. Is that all unsaturated? I have seen landscapes like this irl but this is an unreal photo you have. 😃

Thanks for your reaction, its golden hour light and taken at a decent reflective angle which is something most photographers are not even aware of. rainbows are only seen at certain angles to the sun.

Right, I took a black and white photography course in high school. We were the only HS in SD to have a dark room. Then I took digital photography, so we covered those concepts. Out in the Black Hills, you can achieve this kind of effect too. So if you are ever in SD, I recommend west river for some excellent shots of the Black Hills and Badlands.

Yes good to know. Myself I never took any photography classes. I am self taught and have developed certain techniques through experimentation and practice I have achieved many sought after shots by using previsualization and staging.

What a beautiful landscape. It must be like living in the paradise of being able to be in scenarios like that. 👋 Bye!!!

It is a paradise to me, its even pretty on a bad day, however I take photo's on the best days.

How beautiful, thank you for sharing that image. If we all collaborate with nature, we will all win. Have a nice day...!

Your welcome. Hopefully the appreciation for nature will help to protect it. and good day to you!
