That is mostly likely whats called the "Green Flash". When the sun almost sets or just falls below the horizon the sky on occasion will turn green due to the refraction of light. I am a ships captain and I have seen this quite a few times.
Could be either white color balance effect or smog in the air sometimes changes the color spectrum during sunset, is the reason why Los Angeles has such beautiful sunsets, ironically from the pollution..
You could get that color with manipulating some function of carmera

I have only seen green when associated with a tornado!
