The School Photo Art, Photography School for the second week brings us together with a fun exercise called Shadow Game, the idea was to observe the shadows cast on surfaces to make interesting and fun visual games exploring the creativity of the photographer.
I decided to capture through the lens of my camera this space traveled innumerable times in which I never stopped to enjoy what my eyes observed in detail because the sublime landscapes of the Waraira Repano on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other filled all our attention when we walked down that aisle.
The building is located in Caraballeda, Vargas state, Venezuela with a broad front that gives an intoxicating view of the sea and the back, which is the one observed in the graph through the shaded bars, which leads directly to our majestic hill that is better known for serving as a backdrop to the city of Caracas.
Week 02: The Light at the end of the Tunnel?
"... in any case there was only one tunnel, dark and lonely: mine,
the tunnel in which my childhood had passed, my youth, all my life "
Ernesto Sabato - The Tunnel
The title of this photo is closely related to the content I want to give, Sabato in his work called The Tunnel, tells us about a dark and lonely tunnel and it is exactly what I want to express with this photo, a long tunnel, which is not , but rather a corridor; it is not dark, but light filters everywhere; solitary yes, because this is an individual process; at the end only a wall with a fence, not the light that indicates the exit, a slight inclination was chosen to give the photo a kinetic effect, as we walk on a journey without much certainty that as we are going to leave there and the flat it moves us, it is life itself expressing itself in its inner transformation process, something like an introspective journey where we experience the deepest feelings that move us from our center and force us to leave the comfort zone, it is not visualized where We will arrive, but we know that we are on the right track, the bars and the shadows give us an idea of false steps, as obstacles that we must overcome if we want to move forward, cautious, fearful, but determined not to stop the march towards victory.
The process of life is teaching us that only those of us who remain constant, in spite of the adversities we face, we conquer success, not as a career of one hundred meters, where the force and speed of imposing, but rather as a marathon where we will need long-winded and all our resistance to finish the race triumphantly and reach the goal.
We are going to win, our life is going on ...
