You'll always be too fast or slow as they rush ahead for the perfect picture or wait for a pigeon to spread it's wings.

Walk at your own pace and enjoy the view!

I keep telling my wife that the pictures are worth it. Sometimes she agrees!

Ha! Atleast it reminds me to slow down and take in the scenery and people. :)

Very true. I have only been taking photos for a couple of weeks and my wife is already sick of it!

Ha, she'll get used to it once she sees all the beautiful picutres. I wouldn't change my husband for the world. X

Totally agree with you.
My partner is always hassling me when we travel about: "why you doing that? Hurry up I need to find a toilet! You got a picture of that. You never take pictures of me. That will look crappy etc".
One of the main reasons I travel to is feed inspiration into my photography passion, so having a non-photographer tagging along can be a challenge in itself.
Keep up the great work, and enjoy your passion :-)

Ha, I can relate to the toilet thing. Travelling while pregnant means never being far from a toilet! I don't complain, I just tell him I'm going somewhere else if he's taking too long. It means I can take all the time I like in shops!

Hahaha yes. Sounds expensive though!
When we were in Sth America, and I was the only one that spoke Spanish, she was scared of getting separated and lost though.

Your pictures are beautiful too Hazel !

This reminds me: how to live with an autist...get used to live alone :)

But seriously...beautiful pictures. I bought a good camera myself and have plans to use it a lot in Costa Rica. last time I made over 3000 pictures only with my phone and found out the passion behind making pictures...the moments, light, brightness of some flowers of insects...love it.

Your headline!!! Get used to travel on your own.... that is exactly how I feel when I am traveling with my sister.

You definitely do get used to it, plus my pictures although less professional have improved massively.
Once I realised he will always come back to me for food or water (much like our dogs) it became easier to just keep walking without constantly wondering where he is! :)

Haha, you're so right! Good thing me and my husband are both photographers ;)

Hah, my mum has certainly learned this on our many vacations! Now my boyfriend is learning aswell :-)
