There is often a skewed view of what India is. Many associate her with under-development and burgeoning middle class and its association with poverty. This view although not completely false, It has to be replaced with a sense of awe and beauty for what she and her dwellers really are. Being an Indian gives me an immense pleasure and pride to explain and showcase the beauty and poetry of what India represents.
Ganges , The beloved river that originates in the glaciers of Himalayan range is the cornerstone for several mythologies and plays as a centre piece of the Hindu religious beliefs. It is the divine river of life and remover of human sins, Abode of the god Shiva and an epicenter for Hinduism.
The Ganges has fascinated me from my early childhood, The stories I was told of it were nothing less than a spectacle to behold. I had not witnessed it but these stories indeed had made my yearning to visit the one city which has been associated with Ganga for millennia Varanasi.
The light here had enraptured me into a state of meditative trance, the almost bucolic lifestyle with a charm that is surreal. I felt a sense of lost connection and a deep rooting to this place. It felt strangely familiar yet completely un-explored. I set upon to take some pictures to make the place well known among The Steemit Community.

The closest main international airport which serves the world is New-delhi international airport.
