Aprendiendo a usar la cámara Nikon D3100 - Learning To Use Nikon D3100 Camera

Me regalaron una cámara semi profesional. La Nikon D3100. La vi, me encantó pero estaba el dilema de que siempre he tenido cámaras digitales sencillas de usar y al recibir esta sabía que tenía que aprovecharla al máximo y usarla como debe de ser, por eso decidí inscribirme en un curso de fotografía del fotógrafo venezolano Roberto Mata.

Fue una semana de un curso intensivo que realmente me encantó y del cual preferí más de lo que pensé que iba a aprender en una semana nada más.

Lo primero que hicimos en el curso fue olvidarnos del modo automático e iniciar con el modo manual.

Comenzamos con una parte de enfoque, aprender a utilizar el lente de la cámara 18 - 55mm.

My parents gave me a semi-professional camera. The Nikon D3100. I saw it, I loved it but it was a dilemma that I have always had simple digital cameras to use and when I received this I knew that I had to make the most of it and use it the way it should be, that's why I decided to enroll in a photography course by the Venezuelan photographer Roberto Mata.

It was a week of an intensive course that I really loved and learned more than I thought I would learn in a week.

The first thing we did in the course was to forget the automatic mode and start with the manual mode.

We begin with a part of focus, learn to use the lens of the camera 18 - 55mm.

Jugamos un poco con la velocidad del obturador para conseguir que fotos en movimiento se vieran mas nitidas (Desde este momento solo se utilizó la cámara en el modo: blanco y negro)

We played a bit with the shutter speed to get moving photos to look sharper (From this moment we only used the camera in the mode: black and white)

E incluso jugamos con las luces

And also we played with the light

Para finalizar con el curso, realizamos una actividad interesante y espontánea. Nos llevaron a un parque y sin nosotros saber qué ibamos a hacer, nos dijeron que teníamos que fotografiar cosas que tuviesen figuras de letras y completar con el abecedario. Fue todo un reto, tuvimos que tener mucha imaginación para darle forma de letra a lo que veiamos y demostrarselo al profesor.

To finish the course, we made an interesting and spontaneous activity. They took us to a park and without us knowing what we were going to do, they told us that we had to photograph things that had figures of letters and complete with the alphabet. It was a challenge, we had to have a lot of imagination to shape what we saw and show it to the teacher.

En fin, el curso fue largo pero nada tedioso, debido a que después de cada clase teorica en la cual aprendimos de la luz, los distintos lentes, funciones de la cámara, etc. Siempre hubo una clase práctica en donde empleábamos todos nuestros conocimientos.

Después de este curso, tomar fotos se volvió parte de mi día a día, ahora puedo apreciar las fotos,los detalles, la luz, el movimiento y tomar mejores fotos. Pienso que no hay nada mejor que vivir un momento especial o que te haga feliz y poder capturarlo. Hay muchas maneras de conservar recuerdos y esta me parece una excelente manera de hacerlo.

In short, the course was long but nothing tedious, because after each theoretical class in which we learned about light, different lenses, camera functions, etc. There was always a practical class where we used all our knowledge.

After this course, taking pictures became part of my day to day, now I can appreciate the photos, the details, the light, the movement and take better pictures. I think there is nothing better than living a special moment or a momento that makes you happy and being able to capture it. There are many ways to preserve memories and this seems like a great way to do it.
